The Curved Bench

We created these two 30 foot long curved benches for a courtyard project in the Bay View, San Francisco. To achieve the curved structure, we used steam bending techniques and shaped the wood into custom metal frames. The wood is Batu, an Indonesian hardwood known for it’s durability in the elements and for being sustainably harvested.
